(BGO) – Bac Giang born athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh has recently finished first in the women's elite 5.25km category at the 47th Ha Noi Moi Newspaper Run for Peace 2022.
The event drew the participation of nearly 1,500 players to compete at amateur and elite contents. At the women’s elite content, the champion of SEA Games 31 Nguyen Thi Oanh was the first to reach the finish line after three laps around the lake or a distance of 5,250 m.

Currently, she is actively preparing for the 9th National Sports Festival as the key name of Bac Giang sport at the major sport event to be held in every four years.
At the men’s elite event, the1,500m runner up at SEA Games 31 Tran Van Dang won first position at 8,750 m distance (5 laps).
Besides, the first overal prize was handed over to Thanh Hoa delegation which was followed by Bac Giang and Thai Binh provinces in amateur events.
At extended men’s team content, the first, second and third prizes were awarded to the sport team from Thanh Hoa, Hanoi and Bac Giang respectively while Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh and Son La delegations won prize for extended women’s event.
