Directive of the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee on organizing Lunar New Year celebrations

(BGO) - On December 27, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province Le Anh Duong issued Directive 17 on organizing Lunar New Year 2022 celebrations.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee requested the directors of departments, heads of agencies, sectors and mass organizations in the province; armed forces units, central agencies, business community based in the locality, chairpersons of People's Committees of districts and city to well perform the following tasks:

Directive, Chairman, provincial People's Committee, Bac Giang province, Lunar New Year celebrations, Covid-19 pandemic, more dangerous variants, test kits,  epidemic prevention and control, economic and cultural targets

They must focus highly on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and not stay negligent and subjective, especially in the context of the appearance of new faster-spreading and more dangerous variants; speed up vaccine coverage, have a plan to ensure vaccine supplies, treatment drugs and test kits to meet epidemic prevention and control requirements; be determined to implement the motto "safely adapting to, and flexibly and effectively controlling the Covid-19" in order to ensure the dual goals of both preventing the pandemic and promoting production and socio-economic development, striving to fulfill the set targets for 2022 at the highest levels.

It is necessary to improve the effectiveness of disease surveillance measures, especially for people from pandemic-hit areas. The heads of agencies at all levels are responsible to the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee for the pandemic prevention and control in their localities, agencies and units; while minimizing the organization of New Year celebrations, parties and mass gatherings.

The Department of Industry and Trade shall coordinate with other departments, agencies and People's Committees of districts and city in closely monitoring the Covid-19 developments and market fluctuations as well as taking timely solutions to ensure supply-demand balance of goods and services, thus stabilizing the market.

The Department of Transport should partner with localities to take measures to increase means of transport to better serve the people's goods transportation and travel needs during the Tet holiday.

The Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs will join hands with relevant agencies and the People's Committees of districts and city in developing specific plans and organizing activities to show gratitude to national contributors; renovating and visiting martyrs' cemeteries; visiting and giving gifts to wounded and sick soldiers, families of martyrs and those who rendered service to the country, Vietnamese Heroic Mother...

Provincial police, departments, agencies, localities, enterprises and armed units should strictly implement Directive No. 16/CT-UBND dated December 14, 2021 by the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee on launching a peak attack against crimes to ensure security and order during the Lunar New Year 2022. They need to strengthen and regularly deploy competent forces to patrol and control key areas; while arranging patrol forces to safely protect important political, economic and cultural targets...
