Around six children drown to death every day on average in Vietnam, according to official data in 2020. It was an improvement from seven in 2015 and nine in 2010.

the grassroots youth unions in Bac Giang province have paid attention to
mobilizing resources from the society to invest in building and buying
entertainment, leisure and sport equipment for teenagers and children in rural
and mountainous areas; thereby establishing safe places for children to
practice physical health and entertain.
A national Ao Dai festival for children kicked off for the first time at Van Lang Park, Viet Tri City, Phu Tho last weekend.
The first-ever children’s Ao Dai festival will be held this June in Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province, to promote Ao Dai as a symbol connecting Vietnamese generations.

of disadvantaged children. With the desire to give the best to children, over
the past time, the Association for Protection of Children's Rights in Bac Giang
province has connected with organizations and individuals at home and abroad for
more resources to help them go to school and make their life less difficult.
Since its launch in October 2021, the ‘Noi Vong Tay Thuong’ (The Circle of Love) programme has provided financial support for more than 1,700 children who became orphaned due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
