Bac Giang grows 2,000 hectares of sugar apple mostly in Luc Nam district (over 1,730 hectares) with total productivity of 15,500 tonns. The cold weather early this year made the fruit ripe later than previous crops. So far, about 150 tonnes have been harvested and sold at high price of 35 – 45,000 VND per kg, up 5-10,000 VND per kg year on year.

This year, the sugar apple and longan are produced in line with food safety and hygiene standard with focus on controlling the residue of plant protection product to serve export, hence the fruits are consumed smoothly.
