(BGO) – The Cooperative Union in Bac Giang province has held the conference “Connecting the supply – demand and displaying products of cooperatives in Bac Giang province with provinces and cities in 2020”.
Together with the involvement of all levels and sectors to link, consume products and build the commodity value chains, the Cooperative Union in Bac Giang and other provinces have actively consulted and facilitated the member cooperatives via training course, loans, activities to link the supply and demand, trade promotion ...which helped build and develop the cooperative model in close attachment to commodity value chain.

Bac Giang province has supported the trade promotion activities to 8 units with total expense of over 160 million VND; coordinated with Vietnam Cooperative Union to select and support one cooperative to build value chain worth 320 million VND; supported the loan capital for cooperative members from the provincial Fund to support the Cooperative development to 44 projects.
In 2020, the province organized 3 delegates to facilitate 19 cooperatives to join international fair to introduce their products. 13 memorandum of understandings for cooperation have been inked among the cooperatives and businesses with linkage demand.
This event offered chance for cooperatives, enterprises and distributors to meet, exchange experience and seek market information as well as discuss solutions to accelerate the production and enhance product quality...
Addressing at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Cooperative Union Le Van Nghi and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan The Tuan acknowledged the effort of the Cooperative Unions in 7 provinces in the North East area in general and Bac Giang province in particular amid the negative impact of Covid-19 pandemic.
Some provinces like Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen ...had great efforts and gained many achievements in supply – demand linkage and trade promotion.

Bac Giang was a bright spot in supply – demand linkage and trade promotion. The products made in the local cooperatives have been much improved in term of quality, appearance with stamp for origin traceability. The provincial Cooperative Union has well promoted its role to actively consult and implement the activities to link the supply and demand, trade promotion to the members in order to bring good and widespread results.
However, the local cooperatives should open up more activities, build models with various scales of district, region, province and nation; enhance technology application into production; access to sources of capital to boost the cooperation with business to produce under value chain from production to consumption. Besides, the provinces were encouraged to pay more attention to building and establishing One Commune One Product Cooperative.
