Bac Giang’s Vovinam team win 3 bronze medals at youth championship

(BGO) – The 17th National Youth Vovinam Championship 2019 has been held recently in Rach Gia city (Kien Giang province). 10 members in Bac Giang team competed together with more than 660 athletes from 34 provinces, cities and sectors across the nation.

Though the martial artists from Bac Giang province have gained few competition experiences in such a new games added in the training system for the local hi-performance sports, they performed successfully with three bronze medals.

The medal winners included Nguyen Van Hai Son in men’s 51 kilogram at the age group of 12-15; Khuong Viet Giang in men’s 60 kilogram at the age group of 12-15 and Nguyen Thi Huong in women’s 63 kilogram at the age group of 16-18.

The Vovinam team will continue preparing and training the martial artists to vie for medal at the National Vovinam Championship to be held at Quang Nam province in September 2019.

(BGO) – Bac Giang’s Vovinam has many development prospects in not only amateur playing fields but also high-performance sport competitions. Combining the traditional martial art into the curricula of several local schools has opened up more opportunities for Bac Giang province’s Vovinam to gain more achievements.
 
Third Vovinam Ambassador Championship concludes in Algeria
The third Viet Vo Dao Vovinam Ambassador Championship concluded in Algiers, the capital city of Algeria on October 27, with the first prize coming to the Olympique de Bourouba club.
