An employee of Star Telecom (Unitel), a joint venture between Vietnam’s Viettel Global JSC and Laos Asia Telecom, purchase tickets for the Vietnam-Laos match.

Tickets are being sold at 10,000 and 20,000 Lao kip (about 1.17 – 2.35 USD).

As of November 5 evening, about 15,000 tickets had been sold. Thipphakon Phakasi, a media official of the Laos Football Federation (LFF), said there were only 1,000 tickets worth 10,000 kip left.

He added the LFF will sell the remaining 5,000 tickets on November 7, a day prior to the match.

This is the first time Laos has hosted an AFF Suzuki Cup match.

The AFF Cup will be held at 12 different stadiums in Southeast Asia from November 8 to December 15.

This year, the tournament will feature a new playing format, with both home and away ties.

After the match against Laos, Vietnam will meet Malaysia at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium on November 16, Myanmar in Yangon on November 20 and will Cambodia at Hanoi’s Hang Day Stadium on November 24.

Vietnam is looking to win the regional title after a 10-year wait. They won the AFF Cup for the first time in 2008.
