Ly Hoang Nam and his teammate Le Quoc Khanh won the men’s doubles title at the Vietnam F4 Futures tennis tournament on October 28.

However, Tay Ninh-born Nam lost his men’s singles title after losing to the No. 1 seed, Roman Safiullin of Russia, in the final.

Nam, world No. 481, was defeated by Safiullin, world No. 297, after one hour and 31 minutes with a score of 6-7, 4-6.

With the support of home fans, Nam created many difficulties for the visitor in the first set’s opening minutes, taking the lead to 5-2. However, the Russian rival rebounded strongly to beat Nam 6-7. In the following set, Nam lost his confidence and was defeated 4-6.
