Vietnam national men’s football team has held on to the No. 1 spot in the Southeast Asia region, according to the latest International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA)’s ranking released on September 20.

The national team now ranks No. 102 in the world and No.17 in Asia.
It is followed by the Philippines (world No.144, up 1 notch), Thailand (world No.122, no change), Myanmar (world 138, no change), and Indonesia (world No.164, no change).
In Asia, Iran is still the strongest team, ranking world No. 33 (down 1 notch), trailed by Australia (world No.43, no change), Japan (world No.54, no change), and the Republic of Korea (world No.55, up 2 notches).
Belgium and France sit atop the world rankings, followed by Brazil, Croatia, and Uruguay, respectively.
