U-19 Vietnam has been invited to compete in a four-team friendly tournament by the Qatar Football Association (QFA) in preparation for the 2018 AFC U-19 Championship in Indonesia from October 18 to November 4.

The team is currently training at the PVF Centre in Hanoi and will play three friendly matches in order to hone their skills.
They are scheduled to meet Barcelona B, Oman U23, and Uzbekistan U23 in early July at the My Dinh National Stadium.
In preparation for the 2018 AFF Cup and the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, Vietnam U-19 also plans to attend a training course in China.
They will have three friendly matches during the course, including one against Guangzhou Evegrande B, the two-time champions of the AFC Champions League.
Following the training course, the Vietnamese player will attend the AFF U-19 Championship, due to be held in Indonesia from July 1-15.
