(BGO) – Responding to the Winter Voluntary and 2021 Spring Voluntary Programmes, the youth unions and associations in Bac Giang province launched many activities for community from December 5 – 8.
The Youth Union and Federation in Hiep Hoa district held a lauching ceremony at Mai Trung commune with various voluntary activities, such as presenting 20 warm blankets to difficult families; growing and caring for 1.5km of youth flower road; building youth project of “Entertainment place for children” in Trung Hoa village, Mai Trung commune worth 20 million VND (862 USD).

Particularly, the youth members in the communes joined hand together to provide motorbike washing service and collect wastes to sell for fund raising. Later, the Youth Union and Federation in the district mobilized the expenses to present gift to two special disadvantaged families of Nguyen Thi Dao in Cam Trang village and Do Van Chinh in Trung Hoa village (each worth 1 million VND).
Besides, the Youth Unions in Ngoc Chau commune and Regular Education and Vocational Training Center in Tan Yen district organized several activities in response of the voluntary programmes. They gifted 8 winter blankets to impoverished students and youth members; cared for the “Herbal medicine plant garden”, “Humanitarian garden” at the Medical Station in Ngoc Chau commune an communal martyr cemetery; presenting gift to family of Hoang Thi Ba in Khanh Ninh village....Total expenses of 8 million VND (345 USD) was donated by the youth members.

The Winter Voluntary and 2021 Spring Voluntary Programmes is launched from December 2020 till the end of February 2021 to draw the participation of the youth members and organize concentrated voluntary activities at the difficult localities in the province.
Each youth unit targets to present at least 1,500 warm blankets to poor households and disadvantaged youth and children; 3,000 Tet gifts to the poor on the Lunar New Year occasion; coordinate to repair and build at least 10 humanitarian houses. Meanwhile, each commune, ward and town strives to handle a polluted waste gathering site.
The Young Doctor Association in the province and Young Doctor Clubs in the districts and city plan to provide health examination, communication about Covid-19 prevention and control to more than 5,000 people while calling for youth members to donate 1,500 blood units.
