Bac Giang DoFA supports fatal guest worker in Taiwan

(BGO) – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DoFA) in Bac Giang province on July 9 received the requirement for support from a citizen residing at Cau Go Tam Sao hamlet, Tien Luc commune, Lang Giang district whose relative died in Taiwan (China).

Accordingly, family of Tran Thi Nam live in the above mentioned addressed. Dong Van Manh, her husband got a serious industrial accident and passed away on July 4, 2020 during working at Kaohsiung city, Taiwan.

The Vietnam Consulate and overseas Vietnamese Office, DoFA instruct and support the provincial citizens whose relatives need urgent protection abroad.

To timely proceed the citizen protection procedures as regulation, the DoFA instructed representative of victim’s family to conduct several procedures such as submitting the requirement for support (as sample), providing the relating document of the victims (copies of birth certificate, family record book and passport).

Also, the DoFA sent urgent correspondence to the Vietnam Consulate and Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei to request facilitation and support the family to proceed the procedures to handle the victim’s affairs so as to promptly bring his corpse or ashes home.

Dong Van Manh worked under a contract in Taiwan from 2017 via the introduction of a Hanoi based company (the family cannot remember its name).
