Bac Giang adjusts Rice Support Project to ethnic minority groups

(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Bac Giang province has decided to issue the Decision No.1299/QD-UBND to approve for adjusting the Rice Support Project to the ethnic minority groups, the poor King households living at the difficult areas to voluntarily plant the forest instead of rice farming on the mountain in Bac Giang province from 2019 – 2023.

According to the Decision, the project will be implemented in 16 communes of Luc Ngan district, including Kim Son, Tan Hoa, Phu Nhuan, Deo Gia, Tan Lap, Nam Duong, Tan Moc, Bien Son, Cam Son, Tan Son, Phong Van, Phong Minh, Sa Ly, Ho Dap, Son Hai and Kien Lao.

The beneficiaries are the households of ethnic minority groups, poor Kinh families who grow the production and protection forests instead of rice on the assigned areas when they cannot produce the food in 2019 – 2023 in Luc Ngan district.

Total forest areas reach 651.8ha. Total quantity of supported rice is over 1,704 tonnes of rice worth 866 million VND (37,300 USD). The provincial People’s Committee assigned Luc Ngan district as the organization to directly implement the project.

(BGO) - Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province has decided to approve the project “Samsung Hope School” in Dinh Huong village, Thang town, Hiep Hoa district granted by Samsung Electronics Vietnam Company Limited (SEV) and Korean Food and Hungry International (KFHI). The people’s committee of Hiep Hoa district will act as owner of the aid package.
 
Bridges of love for poor patients
(BGO) - Currently, a number of hospitals in Bac Giang province are effectively implementing the model of social work groups. Despite not wearing a white blouse and not directly treating the sick, the groups’ members have become bridges that persuade organizations and individuals to help poor patients, thus spreading human values ​​and love right in hospital beds.
