Bac Giang sufficiently supplies necessities for people

(BGO) – It was affirmed by Tran Quang Tan, Director of the Department of Industry and  Trade (DoIT) in the northern province of Bac Giang about the supply of necessities for the residents amid the Covid-19 complicated development.

Previously, after Hanoi city confirmed a patient positive to Covid-19, the consumption of necessities on March 7 made three fold increase comparing to normal day.

On March 8, DoIT established an inspection team to grasp the market situation. The DoIT affirmed that the province commits to sufficiently supplying the essential goods for the local demand.

Also, the DoIT sent urgent document to request the provincial Department of Market Management to have active collaboration with the authorities to strictly supervise the commercial business; seriously handle the subjects who sell commodities at higher price, accumulate the commodities to increase the selling price....

On March 9, the purchasing activities became normal at many stores, markets and supermarkets in Bac Giang city. The commodities’ price was stabilized again.

At Bac Giang Co.op Mart, buyers did not have to queue in line to buy the foods and essential commodities on March 9 like previous day (March 7). According to the representative of Co.op Mart, the supermarket stocked various necessities with the quantity up 3-4 times comparing to normal period on the March 8 morning.

Co.op Mart ensures to supply sufficient commodities for the residents with stable prize.

Meanwhile, the traditional market witnessed no case rushing to buy the necessities like in March 7.
