PM offers incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a delegation of incumbent and former Party and State leaders offered incense at a temple dedicated to late President Ho Chi Minh on Ba Vi mountain in Hanoi on January 18.

The visit was made on the threshold of the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday 2020.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc offers incense to late President Ho Chi Minh.

PM Phuc pledged to promote national solidarity, spread the campaign “studying and following morals and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh”, contributing to build a more prosperous and powerful nation in accordance with the late President’s wish.

The temple dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh is located on the highest peak of the Ba Vi Range at an altitude of nearly 1,300 metres.

More than 50,000 people pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh
As many as 50,066 people, including 1,462 foreigners, paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi during the National Day holiday which lasts from August 31 to September 2.

In the last 15 years of his life Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh lived in two houses inside the official presidential residence in Hanoi. During his life Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in various parts of the country and even abroad for the cause of his revolutionary movement, but these two small houses inside the palace were where he stayed the longest, from 1954 until he died in 1969.
 
National ceremony marks 50 years implementing late President’s testament
A national ceremony was held in Hanoi on August 30 to mark 50 years implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s testament (1969-2019) and the 50th death anniversary of the President.

A delegation of the Party Central Committee, National Assembly, State, Government and Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee paid tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on August 30 on the occasion of the 74th National Day (September 2).
