New classrooms of the Tan Tien Kindergarten are about to be completed.

The school is built on an area of 4,000sq.m, including two high-rise buildings with 29 classrooms, 11 rooms for subjects, and a waiting room. According to chief project officer Tran Van Bang, in order to ensure the progress, the unit mobilized 170 workers, an increase of 50 people compared to the previous months.

Currently, technicians are implementing steps to complete the work and expect to put into use the new classrooms in October, five months ahead of schedule. According to the design, the new classrooms will meet standards in terms of area as well as water, lighting, and toilet facilities.

This time, the Dinh Tri Secondary School, the Dinh Ke Primary School, the Dong Thanh 2 Primary School, and the Tan Tien Kindergarten are also rushing to complete new classrooms.

Phi Thanh Binh, Chairman of the Tan Tien communal People's Committee, said the committee has urged the construction unit to quickly complete 12 new solid classrooms with a total budget of over 14 billion VND (603,722 USD) so that they can be put into use on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the new academic year. Then classes in small venues will be moved to the central zone to meet the teaching and learning requirements.

Preparing for the 2019-2020 school year, the city People's Committee invested nearly 100 billion VND (4.3 million USD) in building 104 classrooms, up nearly 40 billion VND compared to the previous school year. Currently, the rate of solid classrooms in the city is over 99.3 percent, an increase of 8.36 percent, the highest in the province. The rate is expected to increase to 100 percent when the new classrooms are completed and put into use in the first semester.
