Focusing on training linkage and coordination to supply qualified human resources to enterprises

(BGO) – It is a key solution to link with the enterprises in labor training in order to increase the quality of human resouces to meet the demand of industrial development in Bac Giang province during the integration process.

Training key careers

According to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA), the province has 53 vocational educational facilities (VEF) including 2 colleges, 9 intermediate technical schools, 16 centers and 26 facilities.

In 2018, the facilities enrolled and trained over 45,800 people, exceeding 60 percent the set plan. The assessment showed that 90 percent of the labor are employed after graduating from the college training course, 80 percent from intermediate technical level and 70 percent from regular training and primary educational courses.

As one of 45 educational facilities approved by the Prime Minister to develop hi-quality vocational colleges by 2020, the Vietnam – Korea Vocational College of Technology (VK Tech) plans to enrol 1,200 students (both intermediate technical and college levels) in the academic year 2019 – 2020.

The Headmaster Nguyen Cong Thong informed that apart from 5 available departments, this year, VK Tech opens a new training field of Fashionable Garment (college level). The college has focused on training the key careers for the students to help them gain job opportunities.

The rate of trained labor increased from 33.5 percent in 2011 up to 60.5 percent in 2018. The result significantly contributes to supplying the technical human resource per enterprises’ demand so as to create a dramatic change in the economic structure with higher ratio of industry and service, especially in rural area

The Industrial Technical College (Bac Giang city) is completing the document to receive the preferential aid of 3.1 million USD from the Asian Development Bank to supplement the training equipment for 3 key careers of automotive technology, industrial electricity and civil electronic.

Besides, the college has built the proposal asking for the preferential capital of about 3 million USD to invest in two new fields of automation and industrial robot, hence actively supplying the high qualified human resources for the enterprises in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Vocational training per address

As the competent agencies’ forecast, from now on till 2020, there increase about 19 – 20,000 labors in the province on a yearly basis while annually the local enterprises need to recruit 28 – 30,000 trained people (4.9 percent of university and post university graduates; 49.6 percent of college students, 12.6 percent of intermediate technical students; 32.9 percent of technical workers and primary vocational graduates).

To meet the qualified human resources, the sectors and VEF have actively implemented the effective solution to link the training per address.

In the academic year 2017 – 2018, more than 1,400 students in Yen The Mountainous Vocational Technical School were assigned to join the internship programme in the enterprises. 

Luong Thi Lanh, a student at class K9B, Department of Fashionable Garment shared: “During studying and working at the enterprise, I can earn more income and have chance to experience the actual environment to improve the skill, responsibility and discipline at work. Particularly, the enterprise regularly employs new labor so it is a good opportunity for me to have a suitable job after graduation”.

Currently, many VEF have joined hand with the business in training and supplying the human resources. Typically, the VK Tech signs the coordination programme on training and supplying the man power to Siflex Vietnam Company Limited and LGG Bac Giang Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company while the Industrial Technical College collaborates with Yen Dung PT Daehan Global Joint Stock Company…

“The coordination helps us employ qualified human resource that is suitable to the job with reduced cost and time to training again,” said Luu Tien Chung, General Director of LGG Bac Giang Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company.

According to DoLISA Deputy Director Truong Duc Huan, the department continues creating favourable condition for the organisations, individuals and enterprises to establish the VEF; encouraging the VEF to link with the business in labor training and employing in order to supply the skillful and active man power to meet the demand of international integration.
