An art exchange programme, entitled ‘One heart – One world’, was held in Hanoi on April 14 to honour kind-hearted benefactors and to call for more support for people with disabilities.
The event, the 16th of its kind, was held by the Association for the Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans (ASVHO), the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Voice of Vietnam (VOV).

The annual programme also aims to raise public awareness of supporting people with disabilities, orphans and disadvantaged people, contributing to ensuring human rights for them.
At the event, a total of nearly VND26 billion was raised for the ASVHO’s Fund.
In 2018, the association mobilised VND591 billion, helping over 4.1 million people with disabilities, orphans and other needy people.
The second voice competition for people with disabilities took place on April 13-14, featuring 48 performances by 49 competitors from 16 delegations. The organising board presented 13 gold and 21 silver medals to the most outstanding participants.
