(BGO) – On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day July 27 (1947 - 2018), the People’s Committee in Yen The district, Bac Giang province has established 12 delegates since July 18 – 26 to ask after and present gifts to 3 Vietnamese heroic mothers of Do Thi Ty (Tan Hiep commune), Dong Thi Nham (Tam Hiep commune) and Mai Thi Thin (Bo Ha town).
The social beneficiaries are provided with free health examination and medicine.
The delegates also visited and gifted to 322 national contributors including military heroes, revolutionary officers, pre-revolutionary officers, war prisoners, war invalids and sick soldiers in the district, each worth 500,000 VND (21.7 USD).
Additionally, the district authority visited and offered a gift to the provincial Nursing Center for the national contributors in Que Nham commune (Tan Yen district) valued at 1.5 million VND (65 USD).
Besides, the district People’s Committee coordinated with the local hospital and medical centers to provide free health examination and medicine to the social beneficiaries while calling the localities to actively raise “Fund for paying debts of gratitude”, mobilizing the local budget to restore the martyr cemeteries and monuments, build the martyr stele, repair and construct the house for social beneficiaries and organize candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to the local martyrs.
Apart from that, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Luc Nam district Police joint hand with several youth unions and the Vietnam People’s Police Academy to hold the incense offering ceremony.
After the ceremony, 80 youth members cleaned up the environment in the monument campus that is an annual activity of district Police force to pay tribute the national martyrs, helping educate the patriotic tradition and national pride to the young generation as well as encouraging them on studying and working to construct the more beautiful, prosperous and civilized country.
