The leaders of Laos, China, Cambodia, Cuba, Russia, North Korea, India, other ASEAN countries and the U.S. have greeted Vietnam on the occasion of the 77th National Day (September 2).
Lao leaders congratulated Vietnam on its achievements in protecting and developing the country over the last 77 years, saying they were a source of encouragement and strong motivation for Laos.

They expressed deep thanks for Vietnam’s great and timely support, and affirmed that they would continue to preserve and cultivate Laos’s relationship with Vietnam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement Friday.
President Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders said they valued the development of the two-party and two-country relations, and looked forward to working with Vietnam to constantly strengthen the friendship and create new growth momentum for the growth of both countries.
Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, Prime Minister Hun Sen and other leaders affirmed their determination to strengthen and develop bilateral relations with Vietnam for the benefit of people of both countries.
Cuban leaders expressed pride in the historic solidarity that has been cultivated and consolidated in the common struggle for independence, freedom and development, and affirmed their wish to continue promoting further the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
President Vladimir Putin and Russian leaders said they highly appreciated Vietnam's achievements in socio-economic development and international integration.
They affirmed that the friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia continues to be strengthened in all fields, especially economics and commerce, science and technology, etc. with many potential projects being developed by both countries.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Prime Minister Kim Tok-hun expressed their belief that the traditional friendship between the two parties and the two countries will continue to develop further in the future.
Indian President Droupadi Murmu expressed her respect for the longstanding relationship between the two countries.
She affirmed that the comprehensive strategic partnership with Vietnam was built on high trust and deep mutual understanding, with the two countries sharing many values and interests.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo affirmed that the nation’s strategic partnership with Vietnam was a valuable asset to deal with current and future challenges. He pledged that Indonesia will continue to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam for the development of both peoples.
Malaysian King Abdullah Riayatuddin expressed his delight at the growing bilateral cooperation with Vietnam, which has been expanded to many fields.
He said believed that Vietnam-Malaysia cooperation will achieve more results and bring benefits to people of both countries as they prepare to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2023.
President Halimah Yacob, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and other Singaporean leaders highly appreciates the two countries' support for each other in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as their high-level commitments and enhanced cooperation in many fields.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken said in a statement Thursday that he offered best wishes and congratulations to the people of Vietnam.
"The United States and Vietnam have achieved so much together to advance our shared priorities on regional security, prosperity, combating climate change, addressing global health challenges, and strengthening people-to-people ties," he said.
The embassies of many countries like France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Czech posted congratulatory messages to Vietnam on their Facebook pages.
