(BGO)- The provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province held a monthly on 18 November chaired by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’ Committee Duong Van Thai.
The participants spent time discussing implementation of the socio-economic development plan in 2020 and main targets, tasks, solutions for 2021.

In 2020, the vagaries of weather, high risk of African swine fever recurrence especially global outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic have badly affected socio-economic situation of Vietnam generally and Bac Giang province particularly.
Facing the circumstance, the province has implemented synchronous and drastic tasks and measures for the “dual duties” of fighting the pandemic and surmounting difficulties to boost production and business and ensure social security.

Concluding this content, the provincial Secretary Duong Van Thai stressed Bac Giang has gained positive and comprehensive results in all sectors despite some limitations in 2020. This is a convenient condition for the province to drive implementation of the socio-economic tasks in coming time.
In order to achieve the set targets, he urged to effectively remedy the shortcomings with appropriate measures.

At first, the province needs to highly focus on finalizing the provincial master plan while reviewing the projects in need of land acquisition. Besides, it is necessary to continue building mechanisms and policies to realize the set targets at the Resolution of the 19th provincial Party Congress, strengthening production restructuring attached to growth model renovation and product quality, productivity and competitive capacity enhancement, improving business climate and investment attraction, facilitating development of the economic sectors, mobilizing and effectively utilizing resources and carrying out key socio-economic infrastructure projects.
The Secretary Duong Van Thai requested the provincial Department of Finance and Taxation Department to carefully evaluate the low revenues, strive to collect unfinished revenues and draw lessons in budget revenues and expenditures especially in hard conditions of 2020.
