On behalf of the Vietnamese NA, Ambassador Dung handed over the face masks to the Argentinian side.
He affirmed that the gift stems from the sincere sentiments of the Vietnamese State and people to Argentinian friends, and demonstrates the sharing and support from Vietnam for Argentina’s Covid-19 fight.
The diplomat spoke highly of the measures undertaken by the Government of Argentina to curb the spread of the disease in the community, expressing his belief that with the determination and efforts of the Government and the National Congress, Argentina would soon overcome the pandemic to return people’s lives to normal and revitalise the economy.
Vietnam will continue to work closely and share information and experiences with Argentina in a joint effort to quickly repel and control the disease as well as to minimise its negative impacts, contributing to the long-term development of relations between the two countries in all fields, Dung emphasised.
In reply, Administrative Secretary of the Argentine Senate Maria Luz Alonso expressed her thanks to the Government, NA and people of Vietnam for their practical and significant gift amidst the pandemic.
She hailed the action as vivid evidence of the traditional friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnam and Argentina, pledging to continue further promoting bilateral ties for the benefit of both countries’ peoples.
