Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh presents social houses in Vinh Long

Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh paid a working visit to the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long on February 15.

During his stay in Vinh Long, Deputy PM Binh attended a ceremony to present 30 social houses to policy beneficiaries in the province.

According to Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People’s Committee Lu Quang Ngoi, in order to implement the Prime Minister’s Decision No.22/2013/QD-TTg, dated April 26, 2013, on Vinh Long establishing a steering board on providing housing for people with meritorious services to the revolution at all levels.

With the support from the central budget, so far, Vinh Long province have built and repaired 6,625 social houses at a total cost of VND210 billion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy PM Binh asked Vinh Long to continue to pay due attention to policy beneficiaries and give better support to revolutionary contributors.

On the same day, Deputy PM Binh inspected the effects of saltwater intrusion and drought in Vung Liem District. He also visited and presented gifts to two policy families in Vung Liem.

Over 4,000 houses built with social policy credit
Social policy credit helped to build more than 4,000 houses, along with over 1.2 million safe water supply and sanitation facilities in rural areas in 2019, according to the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP).

(BGO) – The Center of Agriculture Technical Service (CATS) in Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province has coordinated with the Division of Agriculture and Rural Development in the district and competent agencies to grant the VietGAP and GlobalGAP certificates to more than 26,500 fruit growing households.
