Traditional meeting among Bac Giang provincial Liason Board of Vietnam – Laos voluntary soldiers and military experts

(BGO) – The Bac Giang provincial Liason Board of Vietnam – Laos voluntary soldiers and military experts on October 28 held a meeting to mark the 69th anniversary of the traditional day of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers in charge of international duties in Laos October 30 (1949 - 2018).

At the event, more than 100 representatives together recalled the fighting memories in such battlefields of Xieng Khouang - Plain of Jars, Thakhek front, Southern area of Laos, Upper area of Laos and Sam Neua.

The representatives of Bac Giang provincial Fatherland Front’s Committee and Bac Giang Union of Friendship Organizations present the congratulating flower.

Attending the meeting, 18 Laotian students who are studying at Vietnam Institute of Agriculture expressed their deep gratitude to the voluntary veterans and wished the bilateral friendship “forever green and stable”.

Hoang Dinh Tien, Head of the provincial Liason Board presented the gifts to the students and invited them to visit hi-tech farming models in the province in order to get more information for the study and research as the agreement of the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee.

Currently, Bac Giang has over 3,000 Vietnam - Laos voluntary veterans and military experts, 2,000 of whom have been admitted to Liason Board’s members. The Board has held the meeting to mark the traditional day for recent years.

A set of books on Vietnam-Laos special relations has been introduced to the public by the Information and Communications Publishing House.
