Provincial leader hosts Indian Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish

(BGO) - Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Linh on June 6 received Indian Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish to Vietnam on his visit to the province, presenting the Styrax (Ficus religiosa) to Tay Yen Tu spiritual – ecological tourism complex. He was accompanied by leaders of provincial departments and sectors.

At the reception, the provincial leader briefed the Ambassador on the local potentials, strengths and socio-economic development orientation, pressing on the huge advantages of agricultural production and workforce among others.

Currently, Bac Giang is focusing on enhancing the agricultural produce and expanding hi-tech farming sector while luring many domestic and foreign investors to such fields of agriculture production, tourism, trading and service.

Chairman Linh wished the Ambassador will keep introducing the Indian investors to visit Bac Giang to seek for the investment opportunity in the province; especially preserving and processing the farm products; favoring the Official Development Assistance Fund for the province to concentrate on hi-tech agriculture; hence fostering the bilateral relation between Vietnam and India in general as well as between Bac Giang province and Indian’s provinces and cities in particular.

Impressed by the local potential, advantages and growth, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish expressed on the basis of the strategic ties between the two nations that many Indian investors have selected Vietnam as the location of several big investment projects.

The Indian Ambassador affirmed to continue introducing and calling for more investors to visit Bac Giang province, search and develop the projects relating to farm produces’ processing, preserving and consuming as well as trading and tourism. Besides, he hoped that the provinces and cities of the two nations will promote the cultural relation via organizing the festival and exchange activities so as to further boost up the multifaceted cooperative tie between the two countries.

Chairman Nguyen Van Linh took the occasion to present a photo of Vinh Nghiem pagoda to the Ambassador. On the afternoon of the same day, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong, the Ambassador and delegates offered incense at Ha pagoda and planted the gifted Styrax in Tay Yen Tu spiritual – ecological tourism complex.
