(BGO)- To celebrate the New Year of the Rat and respond to the Bac Giang 2020 Culture and Tourism Week, a number of cultural and sport events will take place in the districts and Bac Giang city.
In Bac Giang city, the units under the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport including the provincial Centre for Culture and Movie and Bac Giang Cheo Theatre will held a film show and poem night themed “Mung Dang, Mung Xuan” (Welcoming the Party, welcoming the Spring), dancing exchange at Song Thuong theatre, a special art programme on Lunar New Year Eve at 3/2 Square and festival drumming performance and Quan ho singing performances in the districts and cities from 23 January 2020 (29 December 2029 in lunar calendar) to 14 February 2020 (19 January 2020 in lunar calendar).

Besides, the municipal people’s committee of Bac Giang city will direct its related agencies to organise the art programme on Eve Night at Ngo Gia Tu park and Quan ho singing on wooden boards at Hoang Hoa Tham park.
Especially, a number of activities such as music performances, comedy, folk music festival, a cartoon show about the history of Xuong Giang Victory, Ba Sao Cup Badminton Tourney and Volleyball Tourney will be held from 29 to 31 January 2020 (the 5th to 7th of January in lunar calendar) at the Relic Site of Xuong Giang Victory.
Within Bac Giang 2020 Culture and Tourism Week, the districts and city will organise numerous events such as the mountain marathon themed “Conquering the legend Non Vua mountain peak” on 9 January (lunar calendar) in Yen Dung district, Tan Son traditional market on 11 January (lunar calendar) in Luc Ngan district and wrestling performance on 16 January (lunar calendar) in Viet Lap commune and Hat Ong (pipe singing) in Lien Chung commune, Tan Yen district.
Specially, the province will held firework performances in the centre of all 10 districts and city, particularly Bac Giang city will have two performances at 21h00 to 21h15 and 0h00 to 0h15 on Lunar New Year Eve.
