(BGO)- The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism concluded
the “Ambassador of Reading Culture” Contest 2019 in Hanoi.
After 3 months, the contest lured participation of more than 536,000 students from the schools and universities nationwide. Some provinces launched the contest early with a large number of high quality entries such as Nghe An, Gia Lai, Hai Phong, Can Tho, Ha Nam and Phu Tho.

This contest has become a cultural event widely spreading in the community especially students.
Tang Thi Phuong Mai, a student of Tan Tien junior high school in the northern province of Bac Giang won consolation prize. Mai’s entry included 7 pages carefully prepared in both content and design.
At the question asking contestants to create a story or poetry encouraging people to read, Mai wrote a story about the ignored books and their journey to find the right owners who can respect and use them effectively.
On this occasion, Bac Giang Library was awarded for its outstanding achievement in organizing the contest, which was in top 10 out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
Great contribution to spreading reading culture in community
(BGO) - Tang Thi Phuong Mai, a student of class 8A, Tan Tien junior high
school won the first prize at the “Ambassador of Reading” contest organized by
Bac Giang Library in late March after passing nearly 28,000 entries of the
contestants in the province.
Spreading values of Mother Goddess Worship religion
After three years with many field trips to various regions and meetings with cultural researchers, over 20 first episodes of the project ‘Vietnamese Mother – Mother Goddess Worship religion’ have been finished, initially bringing a basic and general view of the values of this religion – an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

(BGO) – Room to Read (RtR) is a US-based non-governmental organization (NGO) licensed by Committee for Foreign NGO Affairs (COMINGO) to set up the representative office and run projects about educational development support in Vietnam since 2001. It has reached 17 provinces and cities nationwide, including the northern province of Bac Giang.
