Bac Giang to organize first “Culture and Tourism Week 2019”

(BGO) – On the 10th anniversary of Quan ho folk song recognized by UNESCO as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Humanity, Ca Tru (Ceremonial) singing as world intangible cultural heritage in need of preservation  and ripen fruit season in Luc Ngan district, the People’s Committee in the northern province of Bac Giang has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to hold the first provincial Culture and  Tourism Week 2019.

The event is scheduled on the fourth quarter in 2019 with a wide range of activities such as performing the intangible cultural heritage and songs about Bac Giang province; organizing a contest of beautiful ethnic traditional costume, integration conference of tourism development, trade fair; showcasing pavillions of culture, tourism, local farm products as well as launching the sports tournament at provincial level.

Particularly, one event should be highlighted such as Launching Ceremony of Tay Yen Tu Festival with the active responses from the districts and city.

The Culture and Tourism Week 2019 aims at enhancing the promotion and introduction of the heritage, relic sites and areas which attract many domestic and foreign visitors.
