(BGO) - On January 13, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van Thai inspected the progress of implementing a number of construction projects in Bac Giang city, Viet Yen and Yen Dung districts. He was accompanied by Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Le O Pich and leaders of some related departments and agencies.
Thai inspected the Areas 6 and 7 projects in the southern urban area (Bac Giang city). Up to now, the city People's Committee has compensated for land clearance on 48.2ha out of 48.57ha, reaching 99.2 percent. The remaining area, 0.36ha of residential land of 18 households and a long grave, belongs to Thanh Luong residential area of Dinh Ke ward. However, according to a representative of the municipal People’s Committee, the land clearance for the remaining area faces many difficulties because the land of the 18 households was previously sold illegally. The households often refused to relocate, although the authorities and specialized agencies of the city have repeatedly held dialogues with them.

The district People’s Committee is completing the resettlement procedures for the above households.
In Viet Yen district, a project to upgrade and expand the frontage road on the right of the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway - section from the National Highway 37 overpass to the National Highway 17 overpass currently had some components yet to be implemented because Agribank’s Dinh Tram branch is waiting for the decision to approve the site clearance plan.

Grasping the actual situation and proposals at the grassroots level, the provincial leader emphasized that these projects are of important significance for the local socio-economic development, especially traffic routes, as they help increase connectivity and facilitate people’s travel and exchange of goods. He asked departments, agencies and localities to promptly grasp difficulties and propose solutions in order to soon complete the projects.
Specifically, for the Areas 6 and 7 projects in the southern urban area (Bac Giang city), where there are still 18 households that have not cleared the land, he asked relevant agencies to devise specific plans, including the coercive measures in line with legal order if necessary.
For the proposal of the households to harvest the peaches for Tet, he stated that it is necessary to create conditions for them to harvest the whole crop. After the harvest is completed, the locality needs to immediately surround the site to conduct the next work.
For the project on upgrading and expanding the frontage road on the right side of the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway - section from the National Highway 37 overpass to the National Highway 17 overpass, he asked the People's Committee of Viet Yen district to quickly develop a plan to adjust land use planning; complete land lease procedures to stabilize the workplace of Agribank Dinh Tram, and hand over the site to the investor.
Particularly, the road connecting National Highway 17 with National Highway 37 - section passing through the Van Trung Industrial Park (Viet Yen), he assigned Viet Yen district and the contractors to mobilize vehicles and manpower to complete it before the 27th day of the last lunar month to create conditions for people, especially workers, to travel as the frontage road of the Hanoi-Bac Giang Expressway is still under construction.
For intersections, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee assigned the Department of Transport to continue researching so that the roads are wide enough, ensuring traffic safety.
