By 2030, the province strives to have about 350 OCOP products, of which, four are 5-star, more than 130 are 4-star and the rest are 3-star. To achieve this goal, in the following years, Bac Giang will focus on preserving and developing crafts, craft villages, rural services, community-based tourism, and eco-tourism. It will increase support for the development of the collective economic sector, cooperatives, farms, and OCOP producers.
The province will build and complete production-consumption chains in order to improve the quality of OCOP products, meeting the increasing requirements of the market. It will encourage the establishment of many new cooperatives to reorganize production, thereby creating a standard process for large-scale commodity production under the OCOP program.
Affirming the role of the OCOP program, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong emphasized that this is a major policy of the Party and State and a premise to promote the agricultural and rural economy. He affirmed that Bac Giang boasts huge potential and opportunities to develop OCOP products. Therefore, in the coming time, authorities at all levels, agencies and localities should pay attention to increasing the number and improving structure of products. The districts and Bac Giang city should build specific lists and then clear actions and orientations for implementation.
