About 25 hectares of lychee are qualified for export to Japan, the EU and the US, with an output of more than 400 tonnes. By June 8, the whole district harvested about 11,215 tonnes of lychee (68 percent of the output), with the selling price of about 25,000-35,000 VND per kg. Of which, about 2,804 tonnes have been exported while the rest consumed domestically.
Visiting the area growing lychee for export to Europe in Quat Du 2 village, Phuc Hoa commune; the area where crop structure has been changed from producing unsecured single-crop rice to growing lychee meeting VietGAP standard in Dia village, Phuc Hoa commune; and Phuc Hoa Early-ripening Lychee Production and Consumption Cooperative, Duong said he was happy with the district's lychee bumper harvest this year. Lychee are sold at good prices, brining about high income to locals. It is expected that this crop, Phuc Hoa commune alone will collect from 250 to 300 billion VND (10.7-12.9 million USD) from lychee, the highest ever.
Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong visits lychee orchard in Phuc Hoa commune.
He suggested that Phuc Hoa should be built into the district's "lychee capital". First of all, it is necessary to pay attention to widening the roads so that large trucks can enter the orchards to buy lychees. He directed Tan Yen district to study the replication of areas growing “U trung” lychee with advantages such as large fruit (from 17-20 fruits/kg) and beautiful appearance, satisfying the tastes of European people.
Visiting Ngoc Chau Luc Truc bamboo shoot cooperative and an organic Luc Truc bamboo shoot production area in Trai Moi village, Ngoc Chau commune, Duong emphasized that the cooperative needs to expand the Luc Truc bamboo shoot material areas, not only in Ngoc Chau but also other communes and regions. Because only when there are large raw material areas with big output, the product can become competitive in the market.
The district Division of Agriculture and Rural Development can do scientific research on Luc Truc bamboo shoots, developing it a specialty of Tan Yen. The district sets the goal of selling bamboo shoots at the price of a specialty, not the current price of clean vegetable.

According to the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, not only Luc Truc bamboo shoots but many other agricultural products produced in Tan Yen have very good quality, but due to the weak promotion and simple packaging, few people know about them, resulting in their low value. Therefore, the district needs to pay more attention to branding and promoting the product.
For the Chau Son noodle product, he recommended that the locality apply production technology to package it as instant noodles so that it can be included in industrial meals.
