(BGO) – As of July 6, Bac Giang province harvested more than 161,000 tonnes of lychee. Due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic, this year the fruit is mostly consumed in domestic market with total quantity of over 86,000 tonnes, up about 18,000 tonnes comparing to this year.
Besides selling to domestic markets and exporting to China, the provincial lychee has approached several demanding markets of Australia, Singapore and Japan with smooth export activities.
Traffic police force supports the locals in Luc Ngan in lychee consumption.
The result was gained thanks to the promotion activities and prompt instruction launched effectively by the local authority and sectors at all levels to guide the farmers to apply technology to care for the lychee at early stage, helping increase the productivity.
The total quantity is expected to hit 165,000 tonnes, up 5,000 tonnes comparing to the initially estimated output with average selling price of over 31,000 VND per kg and 33.5 VND (1.45 USD) per kg in Luc Ngan district.
