(BGO)- The People’s Committee of Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province held a meeting on 6 June launching the plan on supporting harvesting, preservation

This year, the local party committee and government at all levels will be mobilized to join hand in supporting harvesting and consumption of lychee with integrated solutions such as guiding local people to optimize production, post-harvest processing and maintain quality of Luc Ngan lychee especially in the areas granted lychee growing codes for export to high demand markets; providing solutions for social security and order, traffic safety and fire protection.
The district boosts exporting lychee to potential markets like China, USA, Australia, Netherlands, Dubai and ASEAN countries. Besides, they will speed up domestic consumption focusing on the big markets including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh
At the discussion session, according to some participants, there have been some arising problems at the very beginning of lychee crop including faking Luc Ngan lychee brand, increase of styrofoam price (used for lychee packaging) to 58,000 VND (2.5 USD) per box, increased by 20,000 VND (0.8 USD) compared to the end of May and the situation of buyers forcing the farmers to reduce weights of lychee.
In order to deal with the above situations, the representative of the district’s public security force stressed, they made plan and solutions to ensure security and order, traffic safety, manage the accommodations and dismantle criminal groups in the district. The managing groups of the market, social order, traffic, construction and environment of the district will collaborate to investigate and strictly punish the violations in trading and providing services of lychee consumption.
The Youth Union of Luc Ngan district established 13 volunteer groups to support traffic safety.
The people’s committee of Luc Ngan district requested the cooperatives and enterprises to ensure food hygiene and origin traceability of the products. The competent agencies of the district are required to strengthen management and maintain security and order and traffic safety; combat against and strictly punish violations.
The Youth Union of Luc Ngan district established 13 volunteer groups to support traffic safety. Accordingly, 10 members of each group will collaborate with the public security force to guide and divide traffic lanes at the crowded streets facing regular traffic jams on the national route no 31.
In addition, the people’s committee of the district requested the engineering brigade 219 and the military division 325 to send their staff and soldiers to support traffic flowing at the key area of lychee consumption. The volunteer groups will start their work from 14 June to the end of 14 July.
