Labeling Chu rice noodle

(BGO) – The Chu rice noodle of Hiep Phuc Production, Trade and Consumption Cooperative of Chu Rice Noodle (Cooperative) in Nam Duong commune, Luc Nam district (Bac Giang province) has been stamped for origin traceability since late 2017, affirming its quality, trademark and increasing the production efficiency as well.

The Cooperative now comprises of 30 member households producing rice noodles and supplying about 20 – 30 tonnes of products to the market on a monthly basis. The Luc Ngan district People’s Committee has coordinated with Bac Giang VNPT Trade Center to facilitate the Cooperative in stamping for origin traceability (VNPT check) so as to affirm its position in the market.

The action also urges the members to improve the product quality, preserve and promote the traditional handicraft while applying the information technology to further introduce the product to a wider range of customers.

Thanks to the stamp support cost of 400 VND per product package by the Center, the Cooperative’s products have been stamped since November 2017.

The VNPT – Check stamp helps the customers easily search for the product data. They can run the code scanning software applications on smartphone linked with internet to scan the package for the detailed information of Chu rice noodles, producer, distributor, products relating certificates, date of production and expiry. Besides, the users are able to send their feedback to the management authority and enterprises.

Director of the Cooperative Hoang Thi Thu Hien said it is an inevitable trend to help reduce the fake products of Chu rice noodle in the market. 

The origin stamp will reflect two - way information among the producer, distributor and user, helping the customer to find the genuine product easily, believe in the producer and raise their awareness of using the commodities with clear origin.
