(BGO) – Though the enterprises in the Bac Giang province have suffered serious impact from Covid-19 pandemic, they have taken great efforts to maintain high export growth. From now on, the competent agencies and businesses are focusing on various solutions to accelerate the export to realize the set target.
Great efforts from business
According to the Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT), the provincial export turnover hit some 1,140 million USD in September and 7,657 million USD in 9 month period, accounting for 80.6 percent of the plan. The biggest export market included China, Republic of Korea (RoK), the US, India, Spain and others with major products of garment and textile, shoes, computer, electronic and telephone products as well as several components...

The high export turnover was achieved because the local firms have actively prepared the measures and plans to ensure the production for the export orders. Typically, Ha Phong Export Garment Joint Stock Company (Hiep Hoa district) is one of two top leading garment producers in the province in export activities.
Similarly, thanks to great effort in business and production, Dae Shin Electronics Vietnam Company Limited (Bac Giang city) which is specialized at manufacturing telephone component for Samsung still maintains stable income to the labourers. Amid the pandemic, the company launches emulative movements of good production among the teams and groups with rewards to those gaining good results in order to increase the working productivity.
Further removing difficulties
According to DoIT Director Tran Quang Tan, the province achieved good export turnover thanks to the creative thinking of several businesses in production and restructure of commodity, especially garment sector. Instead of producing fashion items, many companies change to make face masks and protective suits for export.
Besides, other firms actively searched for new markets to import the materials and export new products while the import and export activities are suspended in EU, the US, RoK, China... for Covid-19 prevention and control.
From now on till the year end, the businesses have launched the emulative production movements at various forms to accelerate the production to complete the contracts signed with partners since early this year.
Accompanying the enterprises, the authorities at all levels and competent departments in the province have actively joined hands to ease the difficulties in production via many supporting policies in taxation, loan, trade promotion and administrative reform...
Implementing the instruction from the provincial People’s Committee, the DoIT coordinated with the sectors and localities to remove the enterprises’ difficulties and obstacles in business and production, including effectively using the industrial encouragement capital to support the production, organizing consultation and trade promotion activities, regularly reviewing to grasp the production situation, productivity and harvest time of local farm produce to have suitable consumption measures.
The Customs Office controlling the provincial Industrial Parks assigned staff to work 24 hours per all days to handle at the fastest manner the customs declaration procedure for the businesses. Meanwhile, the provincial Taxation Department reviewed and instructed more than 1,000 businesses affected by Covid-19 pandemic to proceed the procedure to delay paying the tax amount with total value of some 280 billion VND (12.1 million USD).
Additionally, the State Bank branch in Bac Giang province instructed the system of commercial banks to reschedule the debt for hundreds of customers getting impacts by Covid-19 pandemic (delay 6 months to 1 year) as well as apply the policy of reducing the loan interest from 1 – 1.5 percent per year.
Besides, the European Vietnam Free Trade Agreement officially takes effect, bringing new chances for the export activities in the last months of this year. Taking this opportunity, the competent agencies have joined hands with the enterprises to prepare all necessary conditions, actively implement the plan and solution to support the export activities to EU countries.
